Market Helper

Pay rate: $15 per hour

Job Summary:

Our vibrant market is seeking a friendly, community-oriented Market Helper who takes pride in being well organized and detailed. The ideal candidate must be a people-person who has excellent customer service skills and works well in a team environment. As a Market Helper, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the market by setting up tables, moving market signages around the market area, and assisting vendors as needed. You should be able to comfortably lift 40lbs.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with market setup and take down, including arranging tables and moving market signages around the market area.
• Maintain a clean and organized market area, including sweeping, removing garbage, and ensuring vendor stalls are clean.
• Work collaboratively with market management and other team members to address concerns and solve problems as they arise.
• Provide excellent customer service to all market visitors, ensuring that everyone has a positive experience at the market.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or currently enrolled in school
• Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanour.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 40lbs.
• Comfortable taking direction and working collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
• Comfortable working outside and standing for extended periods of time.
• A passion for supporting the local community.
