Market Prep

Check out what some of our vendors have been up to over the winter for a sneak peak at what’s in store for this upcoming market season!

Sandra Cooper

Over the winter, my fingers have not been quiet. I’ve been crocheting constantly and have several new creations all set for the market:

To mark the Year of the Pig, I made this little lady:

My “Cat of Nine Lives” is a decoration, not a toy, and a simple switch of its hat and collar changes it from one celebration to the next. Nine in all!  Shown here it’s in “Summer” mode:

And then happy to celebrate PRIDE. For the other seven outfits, see me at the market.

And, my latest labour of love, is a beast of burden; a large llama with his colourful blanket and harness:

See you all on the 18th!  – Sandi Cooper

Hobo Crow Herbs

Hobo Crow Herbs will be back again at this year’s market. They’re currently making a new boreal vinegar! This vinegar has notes of wild juniper, spruce and pine mushroom with other boreal infusions, this stuff is nutritive and delicious in marinades, salad dressings, drizzled on whatever you fancy or enjoy it in water as a drinking vinegar.

Fundy Spores

Fundy Spores Badass Bandanas

We’re currently busy experimenting with multiple new strains so be on the lookout for a variety of new and exciting choice home-grown mushrooms popping up on our table throughout this Market season. Also new for this year are the Fundy Spores bandanas; they make great foraging companions.

MI’KMAQ CRAFTS

It is busier here than Santa’s work shop getting ready for this year’s Market season. The dream catchers are almost done and the bead work will be starting this month. Running out of time I know but, yes, I will be ready for another fun filled Market season. Along with my Native crafts this year I will continue to offer my Native painted clam shells and new this year will be plant medicines. I have lots of Labrador tea for sale and am hoping to carry hazel wood also. Let the foraging begin.
