RavensWood Fibre Co celebrates the textures and colours of beautiful hand dyed yarns as well as the beautiful natural texture of nordic fleece. Located 10 minutes from the town of Annapolis Royal, we raise our own Icelandic Sheep. The fibre from our sheep is shorn, cleaned, hand spun and then woven into one of a kind lap blankets. Our skeins are dyed individually creating one of a kind art yarns. The bases for our art yarns include merino blended with other fibres to combine into the best next to skin softness. We also weave shawls, cowls and scarves from our hand painted yarns that show off the yarns with every pass of the shuttle. Make sure to ask us about our specialty yarns including hand dyed gradients that are exceptional for your sock and shawl projects.
